Browns at Texans week 1
Nothing Fancy in this game. Score was close throughout with the Texans leading most, if not, all of the way until 2 Min left in the game. Thats when Cleveland put together a 2 min drill that was successful in getting a TD with approx 30 seconds left. A valiant effort by Houston to get into FG range came up a little short. Browns by 1.

Browns get deflected
Browns lost to Carolina 27-20, in a game Brady Quinn might want to forget about.

In a remarkable effort by the Panthers defense, they were able to come up with 3 INT's, returning 2 of them for TD's, and a whopping 21 deflections.

It seemed that if the ball didnt get deflected, it got dropped. Browns receivers totalled 8 dropped passes adding to Quinn's frustration.

Hopefully, the Offense can make some adjustments, and operate a little more smoothly against the Bengals next week.

Close call in Cleveland
Chargers came to Cleveland coming off a shutout win over Baltimore.

SD started the game with great ball control and clock management. Using a big chunk of time, they marched down the field and went up 3-0. After a quick 3 and out for the Browns, Chargers got the ball back and took it into the 2nd qtr with the Browns offense having run 3 plays. (Great Job Rick)

However, Browns fought hard, and got a really nice Pick 6 from SS D.Gibson to take the lead 7-3 in the 2nd qtr (Browns off still with only 3plays).

Towards the end of the qtr Browns were able to put a drive together for a TD, and it was 14-10 at Halftime.

2nd half for Cleveland was all Phil Dawson. He looked great making 2 Long FG's to put the Browns up 10 both times. If not for those FG's, we would've lost this game.

4th qtr was very exciting. Chargers score a TD with approx 1 min left. Now the Browns lead was down to 3pts. Onside Kick was made and recovered by SD. They start to put together a nice drive, getting close to FG range, when backup FS Lamont Thompson, who saw little action in this game, makes the game saving INT.
