With the run on DT's in the first we had to change our plan Sad

2.2 WR Andre Roberts- solid wr might see can his first year

2.17 TE Andrew Quarless-will be the #2 TE a good fit in our system

2.20 RE Greg Hardy-has good size & provides some depth in the switch to 3-4

2.25 WR Joe Web-another wr with potential will prob head to can as well

3.12 MLB Jacob Cutrera-a depth pick

3.18 DT Travis Ivey-has good size but is very raw

4.24 QB Thaddeus Lewis-depth

7.5 WR Kevin Jurovich-depth

7.20 WR Jeff Moturi-depth

7.21 LG Gregg Peat-depth

While we were disappointed in not getting a few targets we addressed our backup needs and provided some development players. Free agency is next to round out our team and head to camp. Hopefully we play to our level and are competitive again this season.

Ravens Draft
Apparently the football gods answered our repeated prayers, as TE Jermaine Gresham fell into our laps with the 17th pick in the first round. Very Happy Will move into the starting TE spot right away.

3.1 MLB Reggie Carter- A solid backup to work behind Desmond Bishop

3.4 RT David Oswald- A large run blocker providing depth at the T position

3.8 HB James Davis- A prospect to add depth in the backfield.

3.17 QB Graham Harrell- Always looking for depth at QB, should see Canada his first season.

3.31 LOLB Robert Francois- Has good speed. A solid depth pick.

4.17 WR Kevin Ogletree- Good speed. Will spend time in Canada.

6.8 RT Kyle Jolly- Big. Picked for depth.

All in all we are satisfied with the players we were able to pick up in the draft. Now its time to evaluate the team in training camp. Hopefully we have the right group of players to be a serious contender. As always we will look at available players in free agency to see if we can bolster the team there as well.

OT Again?
For the 4th time this year we have gone to overtime. Luckily we have been able to pull out a win all 4 times. Someone has got to step up and play at a higher level to get this team on track. There has been no consistent play on this team all year. Execution of our game has to improve if we are to make a playoff run. The 4th quarter collapses have to end as well. There is no reason for it other than poor execution.

Tight Race-Huge Game!
With two weeks to go the AFC North is still up for grabs. While we still hold the division lead both the Bengals and Browns just refuse to give in. The matchup this coming week between us and the Bengals is critical. As long as we can continue to execute our gameplan in all three phases of the game we should be able to pull out a close win. All in all our season has had its ups and downs but we are pleased with the overall growth of the team.

Week 4 - Ravens@Browns
Well, what a difference a bye week makes. Not really...same as the prior two, this game was decided by less than a FG.

The Ravens made some changes on offense though that seemed to pan out...QB Erik Ainge is now on the bench permanently and the team will be lead by rookie Joe Flacco. In his debut at the helm Flacco showed what he's capable of...although he about gave coach matt a heart attack on his first throw of the game. It's 3rd and 4, the Ravens have already picked up 2 first downs through the run game...we call a 2 TE set with 4 short routes, hoping to disguise the pass and let Flacco get his feet wet with an easy one. C Baas snaps the ball....Flacco drops back, looks off his first option, then looks at his protection, looks at his 2nd option and looks him off as well, he takes a few steps to his right as the protection starts to break down.....Flacco, on the first pass of the game, then decides its a good idea to chuck the ball 40 yards downfield to a streaking WR that has 3 men covering him. Well, coach matt about yanked him out of the game by his helmet after that one...but luckily the ball fell to the ground and the punter came in to clean up.

All in all a good showing for the Ravens....hopefully we can continue to get the bounces in these close games and continue on our hunt for a play off berth.
